A new video clip promoting Rachel Bilson’s upcoming series ‘Hart of Dixie’ has been released. Watch the video here and get the latest news surrounding the new CW show, and its characters, that will premiere this fall.
Although it wasn’t showcased at this year’s Comic Con beside the CW’s other new shows, ‘The Secret Circle’ and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s ‘Ringer’, a new promotional trailer for Hart of Dixie has arrived.
Featuring the O.C.’s Rachel Bilson in the lead role of Doctor Zoe Hart, who moves from the city to the South, the ‘Hart of Dixie’ clip shows fans what they can expect when the new medical drama debuts this fall on September 26th.
Seen in the trailer, Bilson resembles her former days as Summer Roberts. She comes off as a little feisty, pushy and doesn’t seem to understand what everyone’s deal is with bed side manner. Her chemistry with ‘Friday Night Lights’ star Scott Porter is also a plus, and something to look forward to in the coming months.
Porter is the fiance of Bilson’s on-screen enemy played by actress Jamie King adding a whole new level of drama, “a very ‘West Side Story,” according to King. Aside from that, Bilson is also struggling as a new doctor in a town filled with giggly southern bells.
Scott Porter describes his character George – “He loves where he lives; he loves Bluebell, Alabama. But there’s an interesting element in the fact that he went away from home, got an Ivy league education, worked at a prestigious law firm in New York City an then came back home for reasons that we’ll uncover later on.”
With an evil nemesis named Lemon Breeland, the likes of FNL’s Porter, and a tiny little town with plenty of antics waiting to unfold, ‘Hart of Dixie’ has already scored a decent fan base waiting for its debut. The only problem – with such little buzz being created by the CW will Bilson’s new return to TV be short lived? Lets hope not. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think? Will you be tuning in the see the new series this September?
