In an unexpected bit of casting news, it was announced that actors Seth Rogen and Zac Efron are teaming up for a new R-rated comedy! Get the scoop here and more casting news from around the web.

Universal has acquired the rights to a forthcoming untitled comedy that will feature the likes of “High School Musical’ star Zac Efron as a frat brother, whose outrageously lewd behavior is making life hard for his peers.

Meanwhile, Rogen will play the neighbor who lives near Efron, and the rest of the frat house. The comedy flick is said be similar to ‘Old School’. Movie heads are still looking for a director. Otherwise details are slim, but exciting. It should be hilarious, and interesting watching these two share the screen with Efron in the darker role.

In other casting news, ‘Cowboys and Aliens’ star Harrison Ford has found his next movie role playing Wyatt Earp in the film adaption of ‘Black Hats’. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the picture will center on an “older Earp, the one who spent his last years as a private detective and movie consultant in Los Angeles. The spin involves Earp learning that his friend and compatriot Doc Holliday had a son, now living in Prohibition-era New York City. While Holliday is long dead, the son has gotten himself in trouble with a rising mobster, Al Capone.” ‘Black Hats’ will be produced by Basil Iwanyk and Jason Netter. More news is sure to be on the way.

Meanwhile, Lifetime’s ‘Drop Dead Diva’ has a full line up of stars set to guest star in the upcoming season. Set to show up in the legal comedy is ‘Sopranos’ alum Jamie Lynn Sigler, as well as the notorious Paula Abdul, Nancy Grace, Valerie Harper, singer Clay Aiken, and more. ‘Drop Dead Diva’ currently airs weekly in its usual time slot on Sunday nights at 9 PM EST.

Finally, ‘Glee’ is making headlines once again when it comes to casting for season 3. In a surprising twist, show runners made the announcement at this year’s Comic Con that although Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer are graduating, they wont be leaving the show. What a roller coaster ride, but great news for fans! Per executive producer Brad Falchuk – “here’s the exact thing: They’re seniors. They’re graduating. But that doesn’t mean they’re leaving the show. It was never our intention or plan to let these people go… They are not done with the show after this season.”
