‘In Time’ Movie Trailer Surprises!

July 23, 2011

There’s plenty of must see footage, trailers and talk surrounding your favorite movies coming out of this year’s Comic Con. One of them is the new movie trailer for Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried’s futuristic picture ‘In Time”. It’s surprisingly good. Get the details here and watch the trailer below the fold.

Singer Justin Timberlake and “Dear John” actress Amanda Seyfried both made appearances at this year’s San Diego Comic Con to promote their upcoming movie “In Time’. In what is Timberlake’s first time attending the convention, the Social Network star sat down with his leading lady, and co-star Seyfried to talk about their October release where “time is currency” in writer-director Andrew Niccol’s ‘In Time’.

When first announced, the unusual plot sounded a little over the top, but after watching the trailer with Amanda falling into the action, and J.T. toting a gun through different scenes, with a whole new on-screen demeanor, ‘In Time’ looks promising.

Director Niccol had to follow an out of the ordinary casting approach for the movie that follows humans in the future who must work, or die at the age of twenty-five years old. Unless you have too much time like Timberlake’s character Will Salas. Talking about his unique situation with finding the right cast, here’s what Niccol’s had to say about the process:

“I was looking for new souls and old souls because although everyone looks 25 years old, chronologically they’re anywhere from 25 to 105,” Niccol told the crowd. “So I had to find a 105-year-old man in a 25-year-old man’s body. Even a small role, like a pawn broker, or a bus driver, or a priest — you’d normally get a worn-out 75-year-old character actor, but I had to find a worn-out 75-year-old character actor in a 25-year-old body.”

If the plot, and it’s leading stars don’t raise your curiosity towards ‘In Time’, maybe a slew of other familiar faces will. White Collar’s Matthew Bomer is also in the film, as well as I Am Number Four’s Alex Pettyfer, and Olivia Wilde, who plays Justin Timberlake’s mother. Check out the trailer below that features the short haired Seyfried as J.T’s hostage while the Sexy Back star show’s us what he can do in his surprising role as a man of action!

‘In Time’ arrives in theaters on October 28th 2011. Catch the trailer from Comic Con below and check out more set photos.
