According to celebrity news site TMZ, the California power couple has no prenup. So Maria could get 50% of all the money and holdings she and Schwarzenegger have earned in the past 25 years. This would include the lucrative franchises of the Terminator film series owned by Arnold′s company, Oak Productions. Such includes merchandise of the Schwarzengger character from the movies worth millions of dollars.

Maria only learned of Arnold′s affair and love child with housekeeper Mildred Baena two months ago while dining with Oprah and friends. After the initial shock and humiliation, there was some rumors that the two might still work things out. Most reports are that the Arnold and Maria do speak regularly and are cordial with one another. But it does not take much of a stretch of the imagination to figure out that this marriage was doomed.

So, today in Los Angeles county courts, wife Maria Shriver filed for divorce from her husband of 25 years, Arnold Schwarzenegger. In documents filed by her attorney, Laura Wasser, irreconcilable differences were cited as the reasons for the divorce. The former First Couple of California end their marriage amid the scandal of an illicit relationship by husband Arnold. A sad day indeed, but hopefully, happier ones lay ahead. Maria is seeking joint custody of the two minor-aged children. The couple had four children altogether during their 25 years of marriage.
