Yes, the tennis star is celebrating a milestone today. Anna Kournikova’s birthday marks 30 years of beauty! Doesn’t she look better and better every year? Luckily for us, we’ll be seeing more of her come this fall, when she makes her debut as one of the trainers on the NBC weight loss reality hit, The Biggest Loser, replacing Jillian Michaels, who decided not to return to the show to focus ‘on her family’.
The tennis star currently resides in Miami Beach, Florida, but rumors have it that she won’t be there for long. She reportedly has put her mansion up for sale for a cool $9.4 million. The spread boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a boat dock and much much more. Surprisingly, no tennis court on the property. Rumors have been swirling that she’s looking for a home in the L.A. area or she may just be ready to move in with her longtime boyfriend (since 2002), Enrique Iglesias. Take your pick, I suppose. I don’t believe it’s the latter.
When the official announcement came via The Biggest Loser finale a few weeks ago that she was going to be replacing Jillian Michaels, many have voiced their opines as to whether she has the experience to do so. While the Russian beauty obviously is in great shape — just look at the pics below — can she motivate like Jillian has done so well in the past? We shall see, I’m hoping that she can, but she definitely has some big shoes to fill! This upcoming fall season will be a make it or break it for me. I will watch, but I feel the novelty is starting to wear off. Make me change my mind, Anna!
Although she had retired from tennis (singles play) in 2003, she will take part in the occasional exhibition matches. She is part of the St. Louis Aces team, a World Team Tennis group where she plays doubles.
So as we celebrate Anna Kournikova’s birthday today and help her blow out those 30 candles on the cake, feel free to send her any b-day wishes in the comments section below.
