NFL star Hines Ward danced his way to ultimate victory on this season of DWTS, and was named champion alongside his partner, Kym Johnson.
It was an interesting season. As usual, more attention was focused on the stars who struggled a bit than those who excelled. There was plenty of stories about runner-up Kirstie Alley to go around. We heard about her weight, her falls, and her awesome attitude, but not much was said about Hines Ward.
He quietly advanced from week to week, until he was set for the finale. Now the attention is focused squarely on him after an outstanding season of moving and grooving. He took the trophy and all of the glory.

…now back to the story. Dancing With The Stars is one of the shows that I usually only tune in for at the end. The competition heats up in the last few weeks when it starts to become obvious who is going all the way. I was personally pulling for Kirstie Alley, but I think Hines deserved it. What about you?
