Anna Kournikova is set to replace NBC’s Jillian Michaels on The Biggest Loser. The fit blonde beauty, and long time love of singer Enrique Iglesias, will step up as the show’s new trainer, dishing her expert advice on how to get healthy. The announcement came today. Anna will appear in the series’ new season next year, while Michaels is leaving the show to focus on her family.
In other casting news…
Rock star Lenny Kravitz is making waves again across the web for his casting in The Hunger Games as the character Cinna. Weeks ago the news was just speculation, but now its official that the Pocket Full of Money singer is on board, leaving some fans disappointed.
Blade actor Stephen Dorff has replaced Matt Dillon in the forthcoming movie Boot Tracks. Dillon will no longer play the lead role for undisclosed reasons. Dorff joins the ranks of both Ray Winstone and Michelle Monaghan in the film adaption from the novel of the same name. The plot follows an “ex-con who has a fling with a former porn star (played by Monaghan) before setting off to complete his task: an honor-killing at the behest of a fellow inmate known as “Buddha”, who kept Rankin relatively safe in prison in exchange for all manor of favors.”
Meanwhile, the big news in television today was that of actor Edward James Olmos, a new addition to the upcoming Season Six of Dexter! Olmos will portray the role of a professor. Other stars lined up to star in the hit series include Mos Def and Colin Hanks.
And in the last inkling of casting news high on the radar this week – Brett Cullen and Chris Ellis, the newest names to join The Dark Knight Rises. Cullen will play a judge in the Christopher Nolan project, while Ellis has been tapped to play a priest.
