As a biography, not much is known about Reginald Chevalier. However, he claims to be Oprah’s boyfriend from the 1980’s. It all began back in 1985 when Chevalier made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show for an Oprah look-alike segment, supposedly resembling Billy Dee Williams. He was just 25 years old, and Winfrey, 32. Regi is known for his work as a Haitian filmmaker with the following filmography: Erotic Confessions, Emmanuelle series, and Capone’s Lost Treasure.
According to reports, Chevalier says that after the look-alike segment on Oprah’s show, the Queen of Talk insisted that her producers make sure that the Haitian filmmaker did not leave the building, and if so, there would be serious consequences relating to their jobs. So after the show, the talk show host reportedly took her man to a classy restaurant called the Water Tower and ordered them both stuffed mashed potatoes.”
Their little rendezvous did not end there. Regi also joined Oprah on a very special date to the premiere of The Color Purple. From what he remembers, Winfrey wore a purple mink coat and had high hopes of Chevalier wear a matching fur jacket. Unfortunately for her, this did not happen. Things ended sour after a reported four months of courting, for Reginald, this was the end of the road. Oprah had changed the locks and left her man an envelope with a “Sorry things aren’t working for us. Oprah Winfrey.”
Bye bye Oprah’s boyfriend…hello Stedman Graham…Reginald Chevalier says that the Queen of Talk was “as cold as ice.” Is it cold in here?
