The Death of WWE’s Vince McMahon (Hoax)

June 11, 2007
By

Wrestling kingpin Vince McMahon, chairman of the WWE, is presumed to have died in a fiery limousine explosion on June 11th, 2007. Mr. McMahon had just finished a celebration called “Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night.”

He stepped into his limo which soon exploded in a catastrophic boom seen for miles around in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

No body has been recovered. :)

The emblazoned limousine was engulfed by flames that reached skyward at estimated heights of more than 50 feet. The sight of the charred debris led to speculation that there was no conceivable way anyone could have escaped from the limo alive. Early assessments from local firefighters and police officers sent a similar feeling regarding the probability of the Chairman’s survival.

So who whacked Vince McMahon? Nobody killed him, that is who. He is not dead! It is a spectacular hoax fitting in the best tradition of the WWE.

This story is clearly a hoax and a fun one to be sure. The WWE has managed to create a terrific entertainment atmosphere under McMahon’s leadership for years. Tonight’s gripping story is just one example of the fun to be found at the WWE. You can be sure that ratings next week will skyrocket as Vince McMahon surfaces in a hospital ward somewhere.

I am appalled at this stupid idiotic stunt. My 12 year old son, who knows the stuff is fake, still had nightmares & was visably shaken when he watched it with his dad. My husband & I both grew up on this entertainment…but this was NOT entertainment. No one needs to go to those types of extreems to get ratings. There were other ways for Vince McMahon to correct his “evil ways” without this type of shock up. Acts like this are equal to cursing, its rude, vulger & used for cheap shock value. I am not a prude or a bigot, as I do use vulgerities, but not just to see peoples horrified looks. I think Vince needs to make a formal appology to all his fans before people think he is a complete waiste of space & he looses the ratings he hopes to get. Prove that you are a man & human Mr. McMahon, show us that you really value us before you loose everything you worked for & all that your father left you with…your self respect & respect form your fans.

I have to say, my 10 year old is devastated. If this is a HOAX it is done in poor taste. All he keeps saying is Mom, he’s dead. Just not right…

It’s JUST WRONG!!!!! A lot of is. Wrestlers that cut down the USA after 911 was bad, but now this!! Some people say it is all in fun, But there’s a fine line between entertainment &
STUPID. I told my kids it was all fake, if it really happen it would be all over the news. Even if the family wanted to keep it out of the NEWS no one has that kind of power or money look at PARIS HILTON. Her parents have the money and the have class yet Paris is and has been all over the news. So what make anyone think the Mc Mahon’s have that kind of power. They are thinking out of their Asses & not their heads with this one.

I am so mad over the stupid stunt that Vince used to get noticed. My son is autistic and he has allways liked Vince. He was terrified by what he saw and I am now having a time telling him it was a stunt. I think he has gone too far this time. It was in poor taste. I will not watch anymore.

Well, News 11 (right after WWE where I live) had a SMALL story on it. They said without a doubt it was a hoax. Local authorities said it was even set up and taped early the morning before, all done mechanically, and that noone was ever in any actual danger. The film was edited, and played after the actual WWE program was over, which is why there was no audio from JR or Lawler during all this.

My opinion: This isn’t QUITE as bad as the old Undertaker slitting-of-the-wrists and forcing “Acolytes” to drink his blood (which was banned from WWE because the networks threatened to drop the program), but still is bad form and in extremely bad taste. I, for one, WILL NOT continue watching WWE after this. I’m sticking with TNA. I suggest you all do the same.

I think it is funny! It’s no different than a soap opera which is played during day time hours on network t.v. WWE Monday Night Raw is on a cable channel and airs at 8:00 central time, when most children should be in bed preparing for the next day at school. Ask yourselves,”How many times has Stephano on Days of Our Lives died and been ressurected?” That goes for any soap opera. How many times has the lead “bad guy” been killed and came back. Hence the name World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT, and to me it was quite entertaining. If your kids can’t handle it, don’t let them watch. CHUURCH!!!!!!!

You guys are unbelievable, this whole thing is a hoax, Mr. McMahon is still alive and well. Just think about this, couple things:

    1) If this was real, and the limo exploded on live TV, the show would have continued to air, to have coverage on this.

    2) The media would have bean all over this like white on rice. Come On! A dead Billionaire, in car bombing. I would have caught that on the news right after Monday night raw.

    3) If you records Monday night raw. right before the car exploded there was a camera cut, and the screen shifted about an inch or 2, that only for split second. so really had pay attention.

    4) if that was real car bomb, there would have a hell of lot more rescue team on site then just one fire engine … I mean paramedics, fire fighters, police (local and state). and lets not the paramedics the WWE has on hand when a wrestler gets injured, where the hell were they.

To make make a long story short. Mr. McMahon is still living…

    Terril Says:

I admitt that the end of raw was a little intense for someone who doesn’t know that wrestling is fake. However i think any intelligent 12 years old can figure out that it was a hoax. Come On After the intial showing you couldn’t reair it without one of those “viewers dicretion is advised” things before if it was real. This stunt however could really be successful in the long run. Im thinkin like a ressurection at about the time of No Way Out and then having something at wrestlemania. This years wrestlemania was complete garbage so they need all the help they can get. Oh one more thing. I believe they should have done the actually limo expolsion on site for more realism
