At the end of the current season Regis Philbin is leaving Live! with Regis and Kelly a show whose success has literally been because of him. Back to the topic at hand which is good old Reg is calling it quits, I seriously thought he would be in that chair till the day he died. It was his show, he grew it and turned it in to what it is today. Back in 1983 it was a local New York show called The Morning Show, Kathy Lee Gifford came on board in 1985. Then in 1998 the show went national and became Live! with Regis and Kathy which became a staple for morning talk shows. As you all know Kathy left in 2001 and Ripa joined Regis shortly after. Throughout it all however Philbin was the constant even when he took time off for his triple bypass surgery you just knew he was coming back. I am a fan of the show, Regis you will be missed.
