Green Hornet Cast 1

The Green Hornet opened this past weekend, leading the box office with $34 million in earnings according to IMDb.Com. Up against The Dilemma, which also made its debut, the superhero flick reportedly had a decent amount of laughs, among a “mismatched series of moments,” per the Examiner’s movie review.

For those of you who aren’t up to par when it comes to the masked vigilante, the Hornet dates back to the 1930’s and comes from creators George W. Trendle and Fran Striker. Talented in martial arts, Britt Reid, played by Seth Rogen, is also a super intelligent detective out for justice with the help of his sidekick Kato, played by Jay Chou. Also on board the modern day telling is Hollywood A-lister Cameron Diaz and Tom Wilkinson.

Now on to the reviews….

According to the L.A. Times, “Hornet is a boring bromedy that features mumblecore heroics instead of the real thing.” It’s hard to disagree with this one after watching the trailer for director Michel Gondry’s latest project. Rocking out to Coolio, while flying around town, Rogan and Chou weren’t believable by any means in the trailer, and I can only imagine how they came across in the 119 minutes of screen time.

The 3D movie, from screen writers Rogen and Evan Goldberg, also failed to impress other critics such as ScreenCrave, who gave a 6/10 rating, as well as Shockya, who rang in with an overall B- and Poptimal, who called the flick “a swarm of disappointment.” Not good at all! Maybe you disagree? Did you see the Green Hornet in theaters this past weekend? If so, tell us what you think and leave your own personal movie reviews below!

This movie looks like its pretty good. Seth is a pretty funny guy, and that will be a nice touch of humor throughout the movie. It looks like its going to have some pretty neat scenes, it will look pretty rockin in HD! We recently upgraded out DISH programming since I had become an employee and I gotta tell ya, there is no comparison to HD. I am pretty happy that they are the leader in HD, cause without em I would be lost!

The next time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my option to read, but I really thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you would repair should you werent too busy searching for attention.
