Shawn Christy: Sarah Palin’s Alleged Stalker Headed to Alaska

Shawn Christy, the so-called Sarah Palin stalker is now rumored to be planning a trip to Wasilla, Alaska—even though he currently has a restraining order barring him from contact with her. What could he be thinking?

Sarah Palin

By now most of us have heard of the young man accused of ‘stalking’ the former VP candidate, but when the story first broke, it came and went. A protective order was petitioned for and granted, and we all moved on.

Now things have taken a bit of a bizarre turn. TMZ reports that Christy is planning to make an attempt to have the order removed—a plan that would require him to make the trip. Apparently that bit of information was enough to get the attention of federal authorities, who are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation.

Though he has already filed a motion to have the order lifted, a friend of Palin’s is working to make sure it remains in place. The friend claims that the harassment has continued, even after the order was issued, which should justify keeping it in place.

I’m guessing police won’t take the issue lightly given what has transpired in Arizona.

While we await the results of this guy’s antics, let’s recap what he was accused of doing the first time around. According to the petition for the original order, Christy began aggressively contacting Palin’s reps for a face-to-face meeting with her, which included an alleged threat to find her at one of her book signings in Alaska. He also allegedly sent receipts from a gun purchase to her and even threatened to sexually assault her.

That doesn’t sound like the kind of guy you want heading for your hometown, does it?

We’ll have to stay tuned to find out if he makes it up there or not. Until then, get more on the Shawn Christy story over at The Hollywood Gossip. Your thoughts?

we cannot and should not condone acts of violence against any human being! there could verywell be a backlash effect after the tragedy in Tucson.
Is this country on the brink of an ideological warfare? Sure seemed that way for a long time.
SARAH PALIN is to be pitied more than anything. Her vitriol of disdainful and hatred must come to an end!

Maybe poor picked on Sarah can put him on a map with not-so-subtle imagery for someone to help her out here. No one deserves to be targeted, including the Congresswoman. Will Palin never learn anything about how to behave in a positive manner instead of inciting violence?
