The Jared Loughner mug-shot has been released. And while the gruesome details of the shooting in Tucson, Arizona have been blasted all over the news, the shooter’s pie-eating grin in the police photo is enough to make me grimace. Have you seen the Jared Loughner mug-shot that was released today January 10th, 2011? It is sickening! Investigators released the photo of the man who is accused of killing six people and wounding Representative Gabrielle Giffords (who still remains in critical condition due to a gunshot wound to the head) and one other person.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department released the booking photo earlier this afternoon and people are in an outrage over the creepy grimace the killer is sporting.
Loughner was the sole suspect that was named after not only killing three people including federal employees (congressional aides Pamela Simon and Ron Barber) but also wounding three other individuals (including Giffords).
Come January 14th, a preliminary hearing will take place.
So what type of punishment does Loughner face? Well for the two murder charges, he potentially could face the death penalty. As far as the injured individuals? Life in prison could be the result of the Giffords shooting and for the other two attempted murders he could face up to 20 years for each individual. Either way, the guy is in deep trouble. And the community in which he lives has no remorse for Loughner.
Fortunately or unfortunately for Loughner, because of his mental state, an insanity plea may be a strong possibility.

Yes, the look in his eyes is pretty freakin’ scary. They say he was pretty composed in court today, though. do you think they are making him seem insane to make it easier to understand?

His pre-planning of the shooting should be enough for the prosecution to have any hope for an insanity plea thrown out. Anyone lucid enough to arrange such a heinous thing as this is NOT insane, he’s a certifiable terrorist of the worst kind.
Odd, isn’t it? He’s NOT some dark-skinned “muslim” or the usual “fuzzy-haired African American.”
