Christina-Taylor Green: Arizona Shooter’s Child Victim

January 10, 2011

Christina-Taylor Green is the 9 year old child victim of Arizona shooter Jared Lee Loughner. This is a tear jerker story my friends so get your tissues ready as you learn more about this amazing little girl whose life was cut way too short.

Today the family of Christina-Taylor Green mourn the loss of the 9 year old who was the youngest victim in Saturday’s Arizona shooting. There are no words to describe what this family must be going through. The little girl who had just been elected to her school student council had simply wanted to meet and ask Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords some questions on the day that tragedy struck.

Her short life was full of inspiration. Christina-Taylor was born on a day full of tragedy, September 11, 2001. She was featured in a book about babies born on 9/11 titled Faces of Hope. This remarkable girl used her birth date as a source of inspiration for herself and others. Her mother Roxanna Green said she believes her daughter’s interest in politics had a lot to do with her birth date. Even at such a young age Green knew she wanted a career in politics. She had high hopes of living in a better country where all parties were one. It was her desire to learn more about her passion and what she could do to help achieve her dream that led her to the supermarket on that fateful day.

Aside of her love of politics little Christina-Taylor also loved to dance and play baseball, in fact she was the only girl on her all boys baseball team. A love of the game comes from her grandfather Dallas Green, who is one of baseball’s most respected figures and her father who works for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Arizona shooting victim Christina-Taylor Green was born into the world on a terrible day and died on a terrible day. As I said above there are no words, our thoughts go out to her family at this time.
