Teen Mom Amber Portwood Reunites With Baby Leah

Since the unruly domestic violence case against Teen Mom star, Amber Portwood was arrested earlier this week and released twenty four hours later. Be sure to check out pictures and videos below.

This unforgettable incident that took place on an episode of MTV’s Teen Mom has turned into much, much more…a bad case of domestic violence. Since the airing of that very serious altercation between Portwood and Shirley (a squabbling in front of their baby girl Leah), Anderson, Indiana police opened up an investigation for “domestic battery and child neglect” and quickly moved it to the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office. Thereafter, an arrest warrant was issued along with “three felony counts of domestic battery and one misdemeanor count of neglect of a dependent.” Equals, not good. From there, Child Protective Services have been working very closely with Amber, making sure that she fulfills her duties as a responsible mother, providing Leah with the tender, loving, care that she needs and deserves. Of course, if they felt that Leah was in any kind of danger, they would immediately intervene and most likely turn custody over to her father, Gary.

According to reports, Portwood was arrested on Monday and jailed overnight. Following her arrest, a no contact order was placed, preventing her to see her daughter. But to her avail, and after posting $5,000 bail for her release, the no contact order was lifted and it is understood that she will soon be reunited with her baby girl.

This does not mean she can have any contact with Gary even though the Teen Mom’s lawyer, Robert Schembs, says that “they’re on good terms.” He also adds that Portwood is keeping herself together. She remains strong and is keeping a positive attitude. Not to mention, he does believe that Leah will be placed back into her custody.

In other news, Amber has apparently ended her “mature relationship” with now ex-boyfriend Clinton Yunker. Could this mean a possible reunion with Gary too? I hope so. It seems to me as if these two have got to get things figured out…as soon and if possible. Rumor has it that Portwood and Shirley were planning a New Year’s Eve celebration trip to the Big Apple…were…that is, if the no contact order can be lifted.
