In terms of a biography, Steve Landesberg was born in New York, New York on November 23, 1945, so his age is 65. You may remember him from Barney Miller, playing Detective Sgt. Arthur P. Dietrich. He can also be seen in the following films: Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Wild Hogs, and Leader of the Band. On the small screen, Landesberg performed on: The Rockford Files, Law & Order, The Golden Girls, Saturday Night Live, and Head Case.
The incredible actor himself, reportedly was battling cancer and died early this morning, according to reports.
His agent, Jeffrey Leavitt, offered the following statement confirming the late actor’s death:
“It is with great sadness to report the loss of my friend and client Steve Landesberg. Working with Steve was an honor both personally and professionally. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed.”
Indeed, he will be. There are no specific details about his death, but he leaves behind his wife, Nancy and a daughter named Elizabeth.
