The Golden Globe nominations of 2011 for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced on December 14th, 2010 and are sure to give us all a good idea as to who will be picking up an Academy Award (Oscar) nod. The awards show is set to take place Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais. So who shocked the nominations this year and who were the not-so-surprising nominees? We’ve got the full list and winner predictions here for you to check out!

On Tuesday December 14th, 2010, the Golden Globe nominations announced by Josh Duhamel, Katie Holmes and Blair Underwood are sure to cause excitement for avid theater goers, movie fanatics, television buffs, critics and those involved in show creation. The full list of Golden Globe nominees for 2011 have been revealed. Aren’t you excited?! Not only do the Globes give us a good idea on who rocked the year in movies, but we also get fabulous insight into who could potentially land the ultimate acting prize, the Oscar. And this year Ricky Gervais will be serving as host! It doesn’t get better than that!

So who will earn nods on the small screen and large? A list of 25 television and film categories are set to be announced by the above actors presented by Philip Berk from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). Nine flicks to keep your eyes on according to AFI are: ‘Black Swan’, ‘The Fighter,’ ‘Inception,’ ’127 Hours,’ ‘The Social Network’, ‘The Town’, ‘Toy Story 3′, ‘True Grit’ and ‘Winter’s Bone.’

    I just hope they find a way to spice things up this year, sometimes this show can be a bit of a yawn fest. Good movies this time around though!

    There is a very good line up in the 2011 golden golbes, I think “black swan” and “burlesque” should do well.
