I Love You Phillip Morris movie reviews are cropping up all over the web and their looking pretty good! Directed and written by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the drama revolves around Steven Russell, a gay Texas conman played by Jim Carey, who winds up in the pen, only to fall in love with Phillip Morris played by Ewan McGregor.

Sounds a little crazy right? A true story, I Love You Phillip Morris also stars the likes of Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro, and Antoni Corone. So how will it do at the box office?

Calitreview.com’s review called McGregor, Carrey, and Mann’s performance “unexceptional —they are as good as they always are, bearing in mind the fact that Carrey’s acting isn’t as exaggerated as we’re used to.” The Associated Press tended to disagree, their reviews applauded the “physical comedy Carey made his name on, and the unexpected tenderness that has crept into his later, more dramatic work.”

While Entertainment Weekly says that I Love You Phillip Morris “pulls off ingenious schemes of its own.” Also ringing in with positive reviews, Rolling Stone thought that the flick was “all over the place, but it’s also outrageously funny.”

Earning a B- in Collider’s eyes, read that review here, I Love You Phillip Morris Movie Reviews only got better in the acting dpeartment when Shockya.Com called Carey and McGregor’s on screen exploits “superb” in a movie that “keeps one involved in the repetitive script.”
