The Oprah show was very emotional yesterday. It was the first interview with the star since Marie Osmond’s son’s suicide. We knew the public details, but she opened up about how it affected her personally. Get the full story with more photos and videos below.
Both her and her adopted son have battled with depression throughout their lives and have tried to help each others. We heard more of the mother’s journey since his tragic death.
The woman who became well known for her show with brother Donny, talked in detail about Michael Blosil’s life, death and her life since. For Marie Osmond, her son’s suicide has changed her life forever.
“I’ve been through some tough things in my life, Oprah. This is probably the hardest thing I’ve been through.”
He was 18 when he died by jumping out of his 8th floor apartment. He had struggled with drugs, depression and loneliness and had attempted ending his life when he was 16. For his adoptive mother this made her think back of when she had struggled with similar issues. They tried to get through the tough parts of life together, but apparently it was all too much for him.
One big question the talk show host asked was if the mother was still in the “what-if” stage. Her response was:
“I think, there’s always ‘what ifs – ‘What if I had just put him on a plane and said, “Come be with me?” ‘ Or gone there? I think if you live in what ifs, you stop living.”

losing a child 13yrs old over 21 years ago, I can confirm that what Marie said is true, you never get over it. I myself have been through some hard times, but loosing a child is without question the MOST difficult to bare. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her, and how she should be here on earth with me.

This was a very difficult show to watch. I have the utmost respect for Marie…truly a remarkable woman.

This is 100% the fault of CHRISTIANITY. Her BS religion made the family shun the FACT that her son was GAY. Leaving him to feel out of place and commit suicide.
Lets address the real problem here: BAN CHRISTIANITY!
