Taylor Swift really opened up on her next album, Speak Now. Girlfriend really put her business on the table for all to hear. She wasn’t kidding when she said that she is very comfortable opening up in her music!

Her first song, Back To December sparked rumors that she was giving ex Taylor Lautner an apology, and now the latest man to make an appearance in her music is rumored to be John Mayer.

Swift said her songs are not difficult to interpret. Celebuzz has a great list of who inspired the album here.

“They’re all made very clear,” she said. “Every single song is like a road map to what that relationship stood for, with little markers that maybe everyone won’t know, but there are things that were little nuances of the relationship, little hints. And every single song is like that. Everyone will know, so I don’t really have to send out e-mails on this one.”

She sings,

“Dear John/ I see it all now that you’re gone/ Don’t you think I was too young/ To be messed with/ The girl in the dress/ Cried the whole way home/ I should’ve known… My mother accused me of losing my mind/ But I swore I was fine/ You’ll add my name to your long list of traitors who don’t understand/ And I’ll look back in regret, I ignored what they said/ ‘Run as fast as you can.’ ”

Back in 2009 John and Taylor teamed up for “Half of My Heart,” a song that appeared on his album Battle Studies. They were rumored to have dated during that time.

Taylor also wrote about her experience with Kayne West at the VMA’s in her song “Innocent” and addresses all of her haters and critics in her song “Mean.”
