Meet Egypt Dean, Alicia Keys’ baby boy. The songstress gave birth today at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital to her first born, while the father, Swizz Beatz (whose real name is Kasseem Dean) has three other children from past relationships. Read more below.
Over the past few weeks it seems that Hollywood has given us nothing but scandals and misery to report about, and that’s why I’m so pleased to share with you this joyous news!
Update: The proud parents just took their 5-day-old son on his first trip out in New York City. Click here for pictures of the outing. They look so happy in the pics, and Alicia is just absolutely glowing, isn’t she?! Ask any good mother and she will tell you that her children are her inspiration. So fans can only hope that the songstress turns the inspiration she receives from her newly born little bundle of joy into a whole bunch of amazing songs for us to listen to!
Alicia Keys no longer has to waddle around looking like a balloon that’s about to pop at any second, because she finally did! The ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ singer gave birth yesterday (Thursday, October 14, 2010), which is a bit of a surprise because the baby’s due date wasn’t until sometime in November…Congratulations to the happy parents!
We know you are curious about what Egypt Dean looks like, because believe me when I say, we are too, but there is no word yet on when photos of him will be released. But, be sure to keep on checking back because we’ll post them as soon as they are made available to us.
In case you were wondering Egypt’s Oct. 14th birthday makes him a Libra.

Odd name to name their kid…Guess they think Egyptians are black ? They surely are not today, nor were they were in the past.

Actually there are black Egyptians, called Nubians…and yes, they’ve always existed, and do so, even up to today.

I am egyptian..
The name sounds a little strange to put on a person.. I however think its really original. I mean we already have used, Petra, and Jordan..India and Kenya.. so why not Egypt…? I would still put it on a boy though.
