Tyler Clementi is the freshman at Rutgers University who committed suicide last week by jumping off of the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River. What drove the 18-year-old student to kill himself? Reportedly, two of his classmates, Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, planted a hidden camera in Clementi’s dorm room and used it to stream his “sex session” with a man over the Internet. Read more below.
We all remember the scene in the teen-comedy ‘American Pie’ in which Jim broadcast his sexual encounter with Nadia over the Internet without her knowing, and yes, it backfired in his face big time, but in a humorous way. But, what happened at Rutgers, well, it’s no movie and it’s no joke. It was a prank that went too far, and it resulted in a gifted student taking his own life.
Here you will find pictures of Tyler Clementi, and the students who are being charged with invasion of privacy. According to reports, if the two pranksters are found guilty of the charges they could face up to 5 years in jail.
Authorities found an unidentified body floating in the river on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. It is likely the corpse of Tyler Clementi.
Tyler’s father, Joseph Clementi, understandably didn’t want to talk to the media about his son’s death yet. He said:
“We are not talking right now. We are still in mourning. It’s been a lot to deal with.”
What a tragic situation. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Tyler Clementi, a kid known for his remarkable musical gift as an accomplished violinist.
Perez Hilton posted an thought provoking article about this sad story, and the three other similar incidents that happened in the past week.

Poor, why he should end his life with a tragic way. He may be very ashamed and guilty. Hopefully his life in nature there will be more calm.
