Ty Pennington, the hyper host of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition“, pleaded no contest yesterday in his misdemeanor DUI case. He was charged with two misdemeanor counts – one with driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal level of 0.08 percent and driving under the influence of alcohol. He pleaded “no contest” to the first count and the other count was dismissed.

The Judge placed Pennington on three years probation, had his driving privileges restricted for 90 days, was ordered to participate in a 90-day alcohol program, and has to attend a MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) meeting.

“I’m happy to bring closure to my recent court proceedings,” Pennington said in a statement released by publicist Stan Rosenfield. “Drinking and driving is never acceptable. I have pleaded no contest and will abide by the court’s ruling.”
