Meet Eduardo Saverin, Facebook co-founder. While many of us associate the mastermind behind the social networking powerhouse to be Mark Zuckerberg, what you don’t know is that Zuckerberg had a group of individuals helping to launch the now famous website. Saverin has just now recently been named publicly as the co-founder of Facebook after legal action that erupted after the fallout between Zuckerberg and Saverin. Read more and see photos here!

Eduardo Saverin, Facebook co-founder, is getting the recognition he deserves. Alongside Mark Zuckerberg, Saverin helped to develop the popular social networking site. Just recently we are hearing about Eduardo’s part in making Facebook possible. The relationship between Zuckerberg and Saverin has been a rocky one, but despite their quarrels, Saverin is still entitled to his 5% share of Facebook’s revenue and the co-founder title behind his name.

It was back in his college years (his sophomore year) at Harvard where Eduardo met Zuckerberg. He served as the business manager during the development of Facebook.

Come October 1st, we will be able to the Social Network movie that shows how Facebook came to fruition. And Saverin’s role is rather interesting as we have discovered that several internal conflicts took place between Mark and Eduardo. When investors became interested in Facebook, Saverin was fading into Zuckerberg’s shadow. Ultimately, the company grew and Saverin was left out of any recognition. The latter resulted in a lawsuit that Saverin ended up winning. His prize package? The co-founder title behind his name and a 5% share of Facebook.

Even though Saverin is not allowed to discuss what happened during his time with Zuckerberg and company, what went down will be portrayed in the upcoming movie The Social Network here and check out the official trailer for the flick that is generating Oscar buzz below. I am excited to see this drama unfold!

Just saw an advanced screening of “The Social Network,” directed by David Fincher. It’s definitely one of the best films I’ve seen this year. Eduardo Saverin’s character, portrayed beautifully by Andrew Garfield, is one to remember. Jesse Eisenberg did a great job as Zuckerberg as well. I felt for both characters, actually.

Saw the movie today … good movie — Zuckerberg would not be where he is today without Saverin. Wonder if the way the Saverin was treated was really true? If so … shame on you, Mark. And what is with Ryan Parker? Is he really such an insensitive asshole?

Wonderful and excilirating movie. Zuckerman is definitely a “jerk” for being so ungrateful to his very only friend (Eduardo) he had at the time. I could bet my life he still has no friends!!!
