‘AI’ has pulled out all the stops for the shows 10th season. Their motto: Out with the old, and in with the new. Simon Cowell, the judge that people love to hate has been replaced, as well as Ellen Degeneres, the judge so likable that it really didn’t matter that she knew absolutely nothing about music or the industry surrounding it.

Who are their replacements? Today FOX officially announced that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler would be filling the empty seats at the judge’s table, although this is what everybody has been expecting for a while now.

Another addition to the show is Jimmy Iovine who will reportedly be an in-house mentor. What does that mean? It means that he will be providing contestants with valuable knowledge stemming from almost 40-years of experience in the music industry.

Let’s take a glimpse into the life of the new ‘AI’ personality.

As a biography, James “Jimmy” Iovine was born on March 11, 1953, which makes him a Pisces. He was born in Brooklyn, NY. He got his start in music in the ‘70s as a recording engineer. He has worked with some of the most famous artists in music history including: John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, among countless others. He co-produced the film that Eminem made his acting debut in ‘8 Mile’. His ex-wife is former model Vicki Iovine.

Here you will find more photos and information about Iovine.
