Following many months of speculation, it is now official that Steven Tyler, Aerosmith legend, completes the panel of judges for this year’s tenth season as an American Idol judge! Tyler will replace one of the hot seats left by former critics, Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, and the show’s most honest player, Simon Cowell.
Tyler says that this opportunity is a big one! Steven says of the gig:
“It’s being a part of something much bigger than yourself. I want to bring some rock to this rollercoaster and show if you’ve got the heart, the talent, the feeling to do this you could be the next American Idol.”
Some of you may be wondering, well, what about Aerosmith? The band’s lead singer shares that his band members were a little wary at first but reports “when push comes to shove, I’m sure they’re real happy for me.”
This definitely is going to be a tough act to follow. So the rumors are true, he is totally doing it!
