Halle Berry’s Peekaboo black dress caught the attention of fashion minded fans this week at a charity auction in NYC. See the photos here, and find out what she’s been up to lately.

It’s been a while since she has landed a major movie role, but that hasn’t stopped her from donating her time and energy to a worthwhile cause. The actress did exactly that as she made an appearance at the Swarovski Elements’ 22 Ways to Say Black charity auction Monday in New York City.

As the cameras flashed, she made her way down the ‘black carpet’ in a dress designed by Roberto Cavalli. Some say the material turned see through as the photographers snapped pictures, but I personally don’t see that. Certain websites even went so far as to call it a wardrobe malfunction.

Nonetheless, Hally Berry’s Peekaboo black dress was actually part of the occasion. The event called for 22 different designers to create black dresses that would be put up for auction. All of the profits will go directly to the American Cancer society, and a cancer center in France called La Ligue Nationale Contre Le Cancer.

Many big name fashion designers entered dresses, including Diane Von Furstenberg, Sonia Rykiel, and Vivenne Westwood. One of the more pricey bids was for an Armani number that reportedly landed a $22,000 offer.

There were a few other celebs on hand, including Lisa Edelstein, Julianna Margulies, and Sofia Vergara—all of whom sported outfits up for auction.

As for what we can expect out of Halle these days, she just recently finished filming a movie called Dark Tide, which we should start seeing trailers for shortly. Also, she is slated to work on another film called The Surrogate in the near future.
