It looks like our favorite struggling celebrity has finally found a way to make some money! Lindsay Lohanâs E-Trade lawsuit was settled outside of court yesterday, and sources told TMZ that the star cleared a pretty penny in the deal. Check out photos and videos on the story below!
Asking for $100 million in damages following a commercial aired by the company during the Super Bowl, the actress didnât reveal what they finally settled with. If you havenât seen a video of the commercial in question, check it out at the bottom of the page!
According to Stephanie Ovadia, lawyer of Lindsay Lohan, E-Trade used the starâs name in their commercial because of her association with alcoholism. While her photo wasnât used, the babies in the video kept referring to âLindsay the milkaholic.â
“Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit,â said Ovadia. âThey used the name Lindsay. They’re using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn’t they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody’s talking about it and saying it’s Lindsay Lohan.”
Who did you picture when watching the commercial? Apparently very satisfied with the settlement, the actress is no doubt glad to have some good news in her otherwise trouble life. The actress has been attending AA meetings regularly in a last-ditch effort to regain control of her life, but has slipped on a couple of occasions.
âRegrettably, I did, in fact, fail my most recent drug test. Substance abuse is a disease which unfortunately doesnât go away overnight. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day,â
Still, good for her for sticking to the program anyway! Hopefully, this recent success can motivate her further. What do you think of the Lindsay Lohan E-Trade settlement? Do you think the stock trading company was at fault here? Let me know in the comment section! And donât miss the pictures and videos below!

Yes this was a weird one… milk-a-holic. The only reason I could see an issue is with the baby having reddish hair and fair skin.

I think LiLo overreacted. It’s not all about her, and I have NEVER heard her referred to by first name only. I just thought it was a funny ad, and personally, I imagined my friend’s daughter Lindsey as the one they were talking about; every baby is a “milkaholic” in some way, be it breastmilk or formula. We’ve joked about my kid being a milkaholic for years, since he loves his milk, and many friends of mine have done the same.
Sorry Ms Lohan, get over yourself!
