Lindsay Lohan ‘Inferno’ Producer Not ‘Irritated’

September 20, 2010

Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Infernoproducer says he is not ‘irritated’ by her recent troubles, and plans to stick by her because ‘talent’ matters most. Get a complete Lilo update here, and see photos and video below.

Normally it’s bad news for an employee when your employer finds out that you were not only sentenced to three months in jail with mandated rehab, but that you actually failed your first court ordered drug test. But not in Hollywood, baby!

In fact, these latest antics even led the producer of Lindsay Lohan’s most recent flick, ‘Inferno,’ to compare her to Robert Downey, Jr.

Says Chris Hanley:

“I have worked with Robert Downey and others on movies I have made, and, frankly, talent and passion for a project matter the most to me…”

Now before you do a spit take with your Fanta, hold tight, it gets better. He then went on to say that it is her ‘talent’ that is keeping her on the payroll:

“We do believe that Lindsay’s talent does weigh very heavily in this matter.”

Regardless of their intentions, those behind the film are concerned over her behavior affecting their bottom line. With filming set to begin in mid-November, director Matt Wilder told PEOPLE that her troubles have thrown the production of the film for a ‘U-Turn.’

It’s unclear what may actually become of Lohan following her failed drug test, but I have to give her credit for owning up to it on Twitter, where she wrote:

“Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away overnight…I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.”

Those ‘consequences’ could likely include a return to jail, which I’m guessing could throw a bucket of cold water on ‘Inferno.’ We’ll just have to wait and see!

What do you think about the ‘Inferno’ producer’s comments about Lindsay Lohan?
