Ingrid Paulicivic is suing Dr. Red Alinsod after he allegedly ‘branded’ her name on her uterus with a laser device. Get the unbelievable story here, and see photos and video below.
In a move that Dr. Alinsod says was meant to be ‘friendly,’ he apparently engraved a patient’s name on her already removed uterus. The strange act is obviously not sitting well with the Ms. Paulicivic, and she has now filed a lawsuit citing medical negligence in the wake of his alleged ‘despicable conduct.’
To be clear, the uterus had already been removed when the alleged branding took place, but she still claims that her legs were burned in the process. She says the doctor used a ‘electrocautery device to carve and burn’ her first name on the organ.
Her lawyer, Devan Mullins, called it ‘inexcusably bizarre,’ and implied that the doctor was playing around with his client’s uterus.
The Smoking Gun caught up with the doctor named in the lawsuit, who said he actually did it to help stay organized, and that he ‘did not want to get it confused with others.’ Alinsod notes that she is a ‘good friend,’ and that he ‘felt comfortable putting her name on the uterus.’
As for being friends, Ingrid Paulicivic’s attorney says that the two never even met until the consultation appointment, and that the only connection they have is that she knows the receptionist at one of his offices.
It gets better. Apparently there are a handful of pictures taken during the procedure, which show the doctor branding the uterus, and even posing with it afterward.
In addition to medical negligence, the suit also includes an accusation of battery. I’m assuming that was the result of the burns to the alleged victim’s legs.
What a strange one. Check out a photo of Ingrid Paulicivic below. I’ve also included a rather informative video.
