A romantic Italian dinner shared by Josh Hopkins & Jennifer Aniston earlier this week has fans buzzing of the possible relationship between the “Cougar Town” actor and the “Friends” star. Are these two an item? Get the full story, with pictures and video below!

The two met through mutual acquaintance Courtney Cox after it was announced that Jenny would perform on the show in the upcoming season. Playing Cox’s boyfriend on the show, Josh revealed his attraction to the actress in an interview last month where he suggested that his character play out a love scene with Jen.

“I think there should be a fantasy sequence where I have a dream and they have to film it — I don’t even care if they use it [in the show].”

Now, Josh Hopkins & Jennifer Aniston have been spotted enjoying a two-hour private dinner together. Coincidence? Yes, according to the actor. “No, no, we’re just friends – just friends having dinner,” he said.

He did admit that he greatly admired Jen’s work. He said that the chemistry shared between her and her former “Friends” co-star Cox is incredible.

“[She and Courtney] are like comedy ninjas. And they’re good. To see them back together again, playing off one another would be amazing. Plus, she’s really pretty.”

An eyewitness to the ‘date’ told People that they both seemed happy over dinner.

“She seemed very excited about her date. She and Josh sat at a more private table and they seemed to get along great. It was obvious that they don’t know each other well, but there was a flirty energy between them and Jen looked very happy.”
