Meet Vanessa Long, (formerly Vanessa Griffin) Bishop Eddie Long’s wife. While not a lot is known about Vanessa biographically we will update when we attain more information. What we do know is that Vanessa married Eddie and they have four children together: Eric, Edward, Jared and Taylor.
According to the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church website, we discovered that Vanessa is from the Columbus, Georgia area. It was after she graduated from Morris Brown College in 1980 that she worked for the U.S. Department of Education. She met Eddie at New Birth, married and share four children together. Vanessa is very active in the church, serving on the Board of Directors for the New Birth Christian Academy and also is the host for the Heart to Heart Women’s Conference that takes place every year.
In addition, Vanessa founded the program Women on the Path, helping women to delve into a deeper relationship with God. She also is active in the Soul Survivor Cancer Support Group, helping those who have been battling cancer.
On Sunday September 26th, Vanessa’s husband Eddie addressed those accusations of sexual assault by telling the congregation, “I am not the man that has been portrayed on television. I’ve been accused, I’m under attack. I want you to know, as I said earlier, that I am not a perfect man. But this thing, I’m going to fight. I feel like David against Goliath, but I’ve got five rocks and I haven’t thrown one yet.”
Vanessa was present, standing by her man but not saying a word.
What do you think of those sexual assault allegations brought on by four different men and do you think Vanessa Long, Eddie Long’s wife, will continue to support her hubby?
